How these calculators work

Start with a course

Each card above shows how many applications a course received, the share interviewed where the university releases that figure, and its offer rate, all for the latest year we hold.

Open a course to see its calculator and a full page of admissions statistics: offer rates over time, UK and international applicants, grades and, for Oxford, the interview.

Use your own profile

On the course page, start with your admissions test score, or the score you are aiming for, and where you are applying from. Your grades, school and, for Oxford, your interview are optional, and each one adjusts the estimate.

You get an estimated chance of an offer with a likely range, the step-by-step working behind it, and what would change it most.

Where the figures come from

Every calculator is fitted on past applicants' test scores and outcomes, published by the universities or released in reply to Freedom of Information requests. A score is compared with the applicants who sat the test in the same year.

Where a course has fewer years of data, or older data, its page says so and shows a wider range. Each estimate describes what happened to past applicants with a profile like yours, so use it for planning, with no guarantee of any outcome.

Every course we cover

The latest year's offer rates side by side, from each university's own figures. Interview counts appear where the university releases them.
