We build a calculator only when a university has released how the chance of an offer changes with test score. For Data Science, LSE has released:
- TMUA score quartiles for applicants for 2023 to 2025 entry and for offer holders for 2025 entry (plus one median for 2024), with no count of how many applicants had a score for 2025
- no offer rate at any TMUA score: only 11 applicants sent a score across 2022 to 2024 entry, and 2 of them got an offer
- a TMUA that is recommended and not compulsory, so most applicants have no score
- 2025 scores that run lower than earlier years across LSE's courses, so they cannot be combined with 2023 and 2024
Until LSE releases offers by TMUA score for a year in which many applicants sent one, no one outside LSE can work out a chance of an offer from a TMUA score for this course. What LSE has released is below.

Every figure on this page is LSE's own, from its Planning Division dashboard and its replies to Freedom of Information requests.
LSE's dashboard counts applications to each programme, so the counts here are applications and an offer rate is offers per application. Each reply says whether it counts applicants or applications.

What TMUA score do you need for LSE Data Science?
The median offer holder with a TMUA score scored 4.7 for 2025 entry, on a scale that runs lower than earlier years.
For 2027 entry the UAT-UK course list gives the TMUA as recommended for Data Science. The test is scored from 1.0 to 9.0, and few applicants have sent a score.
Across 2022 to 2024 entry, 11 of 1,754 applicants sent one: none of 564 for 2022 entry, 7 of 555 for 2023 (none got an offer) and 4 of 635 for 2024 (2 got offers).
LSE gave the quartiles of the scores it holds. For 2025 entry the middle half of offer holders with a score fell between 4.0 and 5.7, and the middle half of applicants with a score between 2.9 and 4.8.
Scores for 2025 entry run lower than earlier years across LSE's courses, so the 2025 row is shown apart and is not comparable with 2023 or 2024. LSE has not said how many applicants sent a score for 2025.
For 2024 entry LSE gave only a median for offer holders, 6.9 (2 offer holders had a score), and said there was not enough data for the quartiles. It holds no offer-holder scores for 2023.
LSE's other reply shows 7 applicants with a score for 2023 entry and 4 for 2024, so the quartiles for those years describe very few people.
For which LSE courses ask for the TMUA, see our LSE TMUA guide.
